JAMES – FOUNDER / DOG BEHAVIORIST
On completing a degree in both Dog Psychology and Dog Neurology in 2014, James gained a wealth of experience working with dogs and their owners before he began the Pawsome Puppies dog training dream in 2018. He now has a 100% success rate in assessing and addressing any and all problem behaviours. He uses his skills to pave the way for a powerful bond to develop between the dog and the other family members.
James has always had a love for animals, especially dogs! Hugo, his bull Arab X is his best friend and the inspiration behind Pawsome Puppies dog training and puppy school. Hugo once had a multitude of behavioural problems, including aggression towards people and animals, he was territorial of his space, food and toys and he had high levels of anxiety including suffering severe separation anxiety.
After trying every possible avenue to correct his dog behavioural problems to no avail, and feeling like things would never change, James was fortunate to find a dog behaviourist that could accurately assess Hugo’s issues and provide the guidance James so desperately needed. Following this guidance allowed Hugo to become the best possible version of himself.
This experience inspired James to undertake his own dog behaviour training qualifications to become a certified dog behaviorist himself, so he can always be there for other people who might be experiencing the same desperation and need for help with their own dog, which he had felt with Hugo all those years ago.
Alicia – Jack of all Trades
Having a love for all animals her whole life, when Alicia met James in early 2019, seeing how he trained and cared for not only his dog, but several foster dogs that he was taking care of, she instantly wanted to be part of his Pawsome Puppies dog training team.
And so, in 2020, Alicia joined James at Pawsome Puppies to become the Business, Marketing and Media Manager. You will also see her at in-home, private dog training classes, puppy preschool and dog social groups. Alicia also runs the dog walking, pet sitting and house visit services.
She approaches the job with eagerness and pride, and is learning and developing her dog training skills daily. When Alicia started working with Pawsome Puppies, she was saddened to learn that the pet training industry is not regulated and has herself, had several bad experiences with so-called “dog behaviourists” when trying to help her own dog who had severe behavioural problems in the past.
Alicia has always had animals at home and would never have a home without a pet.

Our Dog Training School Method
We only use gentle and reward based, best practice dog training methods to train your pup. Pawsome Puppies will never use any harsh methods including, dominance, pain, fear or shut down techniques.
